Momentum’s Ideology
At Momentum College Counseling, we believe every student has a story worth telling— and worth building with intention. Founded and led by Jamie Moynihan, a college admissions expert with over 17 years of experience in selective college admission and counseling, Momentum offers students a level of insight and strategy few others can match.
Jamie has reviewed applications for four universities, including the University of California, Berkeley, and has guided hundreds of students to successful admissions at the nation’s most selective institutions—including every Ivy League school, MIT, Stanford, Caltech, and more.
Our highly personalized process goes beyond checklists and rankings. We work one-on-one with each student to develop a strategic admissions plan that highlights their strengths, passions, and ambitions. From building meaningful extracurricular profiles to crafting compelling essays, our expert team offers clear and direct guidance that ensures every step a student takes is impactful, authentic, and aligned with their long-term goals.

Grades 9-10 Starter Plan • $4,750/year
Lay the groundwork for high school success with our Grade 9-10 package. This all-in-one plan includes course planning, extracurricular exploration, and early narrative coaching—all designed to give your student a confident jump-start on their college-prep journey.
Grades 11-12 Core Plan • $4,750 total
Designed for Grades 11-12, this two-year milestone-driven package combines strategic course sequencing, test-prep alignment, and leadership development. Students receive personalized guidance to elevate their resume, polish personal statements, and approach senior year ready for competitive admissions.
Grades 8-11 Comprehensive Plan • From $12,500
This premier Grades 8–11 package delivers sustained, narrative-driven mentoring and academic strategy. With ongoing check-ins, essay refinement, and extracurricular guidance, families enjoy a guided journey through each high-school milestone toward an optimized admissions profile.
Application/Essay Package (Grade 12)
